In the electronics processing industry, circuit boards can be divided into two branches: hard and soft. Conventional circuit boards are generally rigid circuit boards. A flexible circuit board is a printed circuit board with special functions, mainly used in mobile phones, notebook computers, digital cameras, PDAs, liquid crystal displays and other products. FPC flexible circuit board is a printed circuit made of flexible insulating substrate.

 

Advantages of Flexible Printed Circuit (FPC)

1. It can be freely bent, curled, folded, can be arranged arbitrarily, and can be moved in three-dimensional space and proportion according to the requirements of spatial layout, realizing the integration of component assembly and wiring, and has high flexibility.

2. Even in the assembly, the steel wire rope and the FPC flexible board conductor are used, the section is flat, the diameter of the steel wire is reduced, and it is integrated with the shell, making the equipment structure more compact and reasonable. It can not only reduce the volume of electronic products, but also reduce a lot of weight, meet the needs of high-density and miniaturization development of electronic products, and develop in the direction of high reliability.

3. Use FPC soft board to eliminate wiring errors. All subsequent circuits are the same as long as the process drawing is checked and approved. There is no mistake when connecting the lines, and the connection is consistent.

4. When connecting the FPC soft board, due to the wiring of the X, y and Z planes, the interconnection of the switches can be reduced, thereby improving the reliability of the entire system and providing convenience for fault detection.

5. According to the requirements, the design of the FPC flexible board can control parameters such as inductance, capacitance, characteristic impedance, attenuation and delay parameters, and can be designed as controllable high-power parameters with transmission line characteristics.
